Well this was my first wedding for 2011, after a 2 month break from photographing weddings, I was chomping at the bit to get snapping again. This wedding had so much to keep me busy, great people, fantastic venue, another wedding I really enjoyed! The wedding venue Fatherland Estate just outside Brits has some beautiful gardens that we used for the bridal portraits, here is a sneak peak of a couple of photos, I got some amazing shots and can’t wait to start working on the album!

This was the first time I have been to the Pretoria Anglican Church, what an amazing old building! The church made for some stunning shots as I did my best not to spoil the settings by using flash. After the church service we headed off to the Botanical gardens for the reception. Another beautiful wedding!

This wedding had the coolest wedding cake I have ever seen! A small wedding filled with great people and a very chilled Bride, Desree was so calm, as if she had been married 100 times! Saturday I was shooting Jeanne-Mari & Hofmeyr’s wedding at Out of Africa Village in Hartebeespoort Dam, my day started horribly being stuck in traffic for almost 2 hours just to get over the dam wall, just as well I left early! Then the rain decided to make an appearance, but we got the use of a stunning house with some beautiful furniture pieces which allowed for some creative photography. Saturday morning we shot Jeanne-Mari and Hofmeyr’s engagement photo shoot. Another great morning out, I can’t tell how much i enjoy the engagement shoot, I always start off with very awkward and unsure models, an hour later I have 2 totaly relaxed and natural photographic models! Looking forward to the wedding guys.

While we where chatting Jeanne-Mari mentioned how much she liked black and white photos, so I set a few up in some high contrast locations. Hope you like them!
