Jeanne-Mari & Hofmeyr Engagement Shoot
Saturday morning we shot Jeanne-Mari and Hofmeyr’s engagement photo shoot. Another great morning out, I can’t tell how much i enjoy the engagement shoot, I always start off with very awkward and unsure models, an hour later I have 2 totaly relaxed and natural photographic models! Looking forward to the wedding guys.
While we where chatting Jeanne-Mari mentioned how much she liked black and white photos, so I set a few up in some high contrast locations. Hope you like them!
Bride Wedding Photography in the Cold
Bride Wedding Photography in the Cold
With this cold snap hitting us, even the European WC football stars are wrapped up, I thought it would be a good idea to blog about some stay warm during the photo shoot ideas. I suppose the warmest idea would be stay indoors!
Firstly your photographer needs light in order to take photos, and your wedding portraits take around 1.5 hours, so a 4pm wedding service leaves little time in winter for photos, so start wedding early, 3pm is ample time in winter. Earlier is warmer
You will be outdoors, so have someone hold a jacket or blanket for you, one you can slip in and out of quickly with out messing with your makeup and hair. If your dress is full length, slip on a pair of tracksuit pants under your dress. Wear takkies this will also help you walk around on the uneven grass for your photo shoot. Take your time between shots to get warm, blue lips and shivering will ruin your photos!
Lastly winter sunsets are spectacular, try and incorporate the sunset into your photo shoot
